Birthday Date Ideas
Birthday date ideas are the elusive thing that
never seems quite right. We always want to do something special
for their birthday, but we're just never sure what they want.
It's okay - let us help. With a few romantic,
and a few not so romantic, birthday date ideas, we've got you covered.
Quiet Night In
Looking for birthday date ideas that will knock
their socks off? This certainly is one! If you really want to make
your partner feel like they mean something to you, do a romantic
birthday date that they'll never forget.
Cook them dinner - clean up your apartment
or house, get rid of the clutter, lay out candles and make something
special. Full meals, too, with an appetizer, dinner, and dessert.
It may take you a while, yes, and there is
a lot of prep work involved... but this is such a meaningful date.
It shows that you really care, want to celebrate their birthday
with them, and appreciate them.
Afterwards, sit on the couch with a glass of
wine and talk, or take your celebrations... elsewhere. If you plan
on doing that, make sure to avoid too heavy of a meal, because that
can ruin your fun!
Let Me Count The Ways
This can also be done at home, if you decide
that you're not ready to split a hotel room together.
Get a weekend hotel room, and make sure to
check in as soon as possible - usually 12 or 1 in the afternoon.
Grab 20-40 balloons, along with plenty of paper, and at least one
pen.
Write down different notes - reasons you love
them, coupons' for backrubs, and more - and stuff them into the
balloons. Blow them up, and hide them. Put some under the bathroom
sink, in the corners, in the tub, under the blankets... wherever
you can.
Then, when your birthday lover comes in, hand
them a pin and tell them how many balloons there are. Afterwards,
treat them to a relaxing back rub with some romantic champagne (And
chocolates!) and really enjoy the night.
You might find that it's less their birthday,
and more both of yours. It's romantic, sweet, and a lot of fun.
In the morning, greet them with a kiss and room service. Everyone
needs breakfast in bed!
Coffee Shop Love
Don't know your beloved that well, but want
to do something for their birthday anyway? Why don't you try taking
them to a coffee shop - order some good coffee, great food, and
afterwards, split dessert.
See if one of the employees will put a single
candle in a piece of cheesecake, or chocolate cake, and surprise
them with that personal touch. Afterwards, go to a park and walk
for a while, just talking.
Simple? Sure. But it sure is meaningful and
not 'clingy' in the early stages of a relationship!
Overall...
Birthday date ideas aren't hard. Just listen
to what they want, and really put time, and effort, into it. That's
going to show most of all how much you care.
